The Denials and Appeals Coordinator is an integral part of the Revenue Cycle Integrity department at Adirondack Health. The position is under the supervision of Finance, but works very closely with the entire Fiscal Services division.
Responsibilities of this position include reviewing and tracking of denials of payment for services to ensure organizational compliance, as well as maximum reimbursement. Essential to this position is the ability to appropriately communicate with various departments to obtain necessary information for the appeals process. The importance of managing/reporting claims denials and identifying opportunities to reduce financial risk is paramount to address compliance, cash flow and regulatory requirements within Adirondack Health.
