Revenue Cycle and Appeals Project Manager works primarily to facilitate financial success by identifying revenue cycle problems and facilitating the implementation of solutions for improvements. Strives to improve and accelerate revenue cycle processes to achieve higher productivity, faster payments, decreased rework and improved service by working with leadership and staff to promote best practices throughout. Additional responsibilities of this position include reviewing and tracking of denials of payment for services to ensure organizational compliance, as well as maximum reimbursement. Essential to this position is the ability to appropriately communicate with various departments to obtain necessary information for the appeals process.
A wide range of professional skills and knowledge are required. Most notably, in insurance billing, medical billing codes, charge master, and charge capture processes. Must also have a broad understanding of software systems associated with Revenue Cycle functions. This person will also have primary responsibility for maintenance of the Charge Master.
